In rhythm games there’s an “S” level that’s higher than “A”. Maintaining a high combo is necessary to get such a high score. An A score and an S score can have similar accuracy but wildly different scores due to how the errors are distributed.

In work/life, S players and A players don’t differ primarily on output over a long period of time. For all practical purposes they produce the same. The A player can even be preferred because of higher predictability and consistensy.

The primary difference is that the S players actually can actually enjoy what they do. That makes all the difference.
