Algorithmic whiteboarding filters more for similar mindsets to avoid adding competition. Most people are looking for someone stupider but to whom they can delegate tasks.

1/ A cult of generalists creates passive aggressiveness and a constant anxiety looking out for competitors. Without being able to distinguish yourself as unique everyone competes on generic “ability”, forcing vertical relationships.

This desire for generic ability is the same thing generals look for in soldiers. Organization and control via a value hierarchy based on singular sense of direction.
