Difficulty used to be tied with mastery over emotions requiring actual effort and practice. Nowadays we take it for a given that everyone masterfully has no negative emotions whatsoever. Everyone is pretending b/c we shame those who don't, so no one gets past beginner level.

We're so great now at shoving our knowledge into every single gap and crevice. There's no mystery left anymore. We've filled everything up except our hearts.

Consciousness is the ability to hold more in the moment. Why skiing in dangerous conditions your mind holds and evaluates more than a beginner. If you overflow because you can't contain the situations, you crash.

Rationality is the ability to predict future moments. It's the ability to actually do something with that bucket of consciousness.

Rationality leads, it sets a direction and is valued by how bright of a future it can bring. Consciousness follows, passive but active. All it can do is increase its ability to take in all it can.

Love is the difficulty of taking it all in and finding some way to enjoy it. All of life, in all its shadow and light. A skiier can remain in consciousness even when in a state consistently a hair away from death and not faint.

The difficulty is in opening up, not getting it in. If you're struggling with the world in your hands and wondering how to unlock the next insight or the next layer of success, well ... you're underestimating the size the world...

Whatever you're struggling with is a game, a model world. In real life, you don't struggle with understanding the world, the world struggles with understanding you.

The be unique you must live in a way where the world is constantly asking you to explain yourself. You have to learn to communicate non-violently, "Flow" in more and more difficult conditions.
