1) I actually love San Francisco but haven't been there a ton in probably five years. I hear it's gotten much worse. But it's still like one of our 2-4 biggest American cultural hubs (including NYC, LA, and a few other candidates).

2) San Francisco has the same buzzy energy that NYC does in the downtown financial district and I love it. The city feels alive and busy in a way that Seattle, Chicago, and Atlanta (among others) really fail to match.
