Hiring specialists is dangerous for startups. You might end up prioritizing work based on capacity instead of what's important.
There are dangers with a generalist culture too. Hierarchies of value become less important. There’s no one that can or is willing to speak up about the “right” way. Lacking a compass you are fully dependent on leadership vision.
