This is what it means be truly responsible. This is what love is. It means to believe through good and through bad unconditionally. To want something to exist just because. No stat analysis, no comparison, no other ship to jump on. Because this is the only one we have.

Marriage vows used to have this degree of finality. As did intimacy. Both were mechanisms to create love through full responsibility. However weaking sources of the sacred destroyed our ability to take vows seriously. Their force was severly weakened.

Technology is currently in a state of realizing that breadth is not depth. We’ve exhausted breadth, we are fully connected. and realizing that the endlessly infinite yet homogeneous variety of goods we consume are leaving us empty.

Without selfish individuals, we can only create and sell junk because we lose a lifeline into knowing what we really want.

The closer a group is to a singular self the greater its potency of quality. Startups seem to a good balance between potency and size to make the biggest changes. They’re where new energy makes its way into the world.

If you must judge then judge by asking: Does this bring “us” closer? Does this make me feel more human? Does this make me believe in humanity?

Dare to answer these questions. To dig deep and see clearly where we dump our excuses and externalities. To see the exact mechanism by which we create our angels and demons, our dividing lines, our dualities.

The sense of selling out is precisely that of picking a side for the sake of convenience rather than following the heart.

Bringing the false boundaries into the light beings the dehumanized humans into light. It forces to realize how much we have sold out through convenient ignorance. It amplifies the whisper of our hearts into a often terrible hurricane.
