Inequality simply cannot be solved without specifically targetting what is wasteful and what should be stopped.
This is why creative destruction creates. Money is such an efficient conductor of human energy that destroying something almost immediately cause that energy to be doing something else.
Meaning is what focuses the energy. Without diversity of meaning freed up energy just goes into some other corrupted cesspool. People in the workd are having less and less to do and simply HAVE to be part of some rich system’s game of servitude.
Talks of creating wealth without creating meaning are off the mark. Considering increase of wealth without increasing in meaning is mathematically zero sum. Wealth gained is necessarily wealth stolen.
This may be why charity is so corrupt. The givers themselves are corrupt in that they give up the responsibility to see, understand, and empathize and instead throe random money energy at it which only adds more momentum in the same direction.
The right thing to do is to feel bad. Feel bad that giving and not giving are the same. And perhaps with enough of us feeling this in our jobs. Maybe we won’t backstab for that promotion, or stuff in that 5th pizza slice, or curse some guy who wasted 5 seconds of our life.
Anything that keeps your eyes open is better than something that allows you to close them.
