I think the Amazfit Bip's e-paper is actually a better screen for a watch than the Apple Watch's OLED. Always on, daylight visible, order of magnitude battery savings.

I have misread "in person" as "in prison" several times today, and it's made a lot of innocuous remarks far more dramatic.

Doing what you already know how to do is usually the right choice, but if you have an opportunity to take a shot at trying a new way (i.e. you're not betting the farm on it), go for it! If you don't stretch your boundaries every once in a while, they'll tighten up on you.

I am looking for a job! I’m good at FP (specifically Haskell), formal methods (using SMT solvers as well as using Coq) and LLVM but I am more than happy to learn new things!

Why are so many modules in the aeson package not exposed? Has anyone received a bug report from someone complaining that definitions in an Internal module changed? I've had some crumby bug reports, but never one of those.

I consistently find Python to be the hardest ecosystem to use with nixpkgs, while its more standard tools (e.g. virtualenv) actually work okay. It's as though there is destructive tension between the millions of hours put into mainstream Python tooling and what nix wants to do.
