1/ A professor is threatening to ruin Nathan Cofnas' “reputation permanently” for writing a paper advocating open research on genes, race & IQ. 2/ Mr. Alfano is a “moral philospher” who “studies how people become and remain virtuous, how values become integrated into people's lives, and how these virtues and values are (or fail to be) manifested in their... behavior.” No mention of whether he studies self-awareness.
3/ As is usual in these types of cases, Mr. Alfano appears to know next to nothing about about the scientific research into the subject, and refused to engage with Cofnas on the merits of his argument, content to just throw insults at him.

That's one word for it.
I'm just spitballing here, but I'm getting the impression that "social justice" is just an excuse for academics to behave like assholes in a socially sanctioned way.
And teach that behavior to their students.
So it's about him, not the principle involved. The antifa male who hit the man over the head with a bicycle lock taught Philosophy, I think moral philosophy but can't remember. Immoral Philosophy sounds more like it.
Notice how no one here is calling for him to get banned or to limit his speech or burn his writing. Kinda obvious which point of view is the more moral one.
