Is this perchance linked to the proposal of providing education for grades 1-3 through local mosques?

I would be curious if anyone in the Afghan govt had caught wind of negotiations between UNICEF and the Taliban, and proposed suggesting the idea of 'mosque schooling' - in order to blunt any positive reception of this deal.

The Taliban acknowledges that the Government needs to test the teachers? Does the government similarly acknowledge this deal?

Unclear but I suspect they'll be able to work the first bit out (as they always do). But the second question is the real question...very curious to see

Be sure, before these schools start to be built there will be no trace of the administration of Kabul or a serious civil war. Don't get excited for these schools. there is nothing there yet.

Kerry Jane Wilson (who works now for Hostages International in Australia) worked in Afghanistan with NGOs for twenty years. She told me that she was in constant contact with the Taliban during her time there. She said they were always polite and respectful in their meetings.
