Question for research nerds: looking for pieces that thoughtfully critique academic social science methodology in conflict areas. Any recommendations?
Fair enough, agreed. I'm finding a great deal written on the former, and not as much that's genuinely useful/incisive/innovative on the latter...

I'd start with pieces by people like Mwambari, Shesterinina, Thomson, Eriksson Baaz, Fujii, & Lewis et. al. (all on the ARC bibliography https://advancingconflictresearch.com/resources-1 ). I also have a R&R manuscript on how security & aid dynamics in conflict zones affect research data, if you'd like it.

This recent special issue is excellent as well (it'll be part of the next bibliography update):https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14650045.2020.1717068?scroll=top&needAccess=true …
