I think NRC would be best placed to talk about this but I'll give it a shot. The goal of the work was to help NRC navigate the increasingly insecure areas they are working in, specific to their work expanding Afghans access to justice (esp on housing, land, property issues)

So its analysis that should - we hope - help them to better understand the constraints on access to justice in areas where they are working. But they did not fund the entirety of the research; some of it is based on other research Flo and I have done

So to be clear: it wasn't funded directly by any specific govt. It grew out of conversations I had in Kabul with an NGO grappling with security issues. The NGO provided some of the funding, and then we drew on our other research to fill in some of the gaps.

The tweets regarding what it all means for peace talks -- that's my own personal opinion and me, perhaps clumsily, trying to make it relevant for IAN. But that's not at all the goal of the research
