One of the most interesting points imho comes at the end: "the US should urge the UN to convene the relevant global and regional powers" The US has been reluctant to confer authority to the UN in this, but it's LONG overdue. Even if the US pivots to essentially empower the UN...

Right now rich countries due to Coronavirus helping poor or by war divested countries BUT US just has cut aid 2 Afghans becoz a warlord wants 2 change constitution. So how can there be any form of democracy if every 5 years becoz of a warlord elections result should be annulled?
