First this thread is a summary. Please read the whole article. This election system is called "ElectionGuard", sound familiar? That's because it is part of Microsoft's ironically named "Defending Democracy" program, as is Neocon-backed Newsguard.

ElectionGuard was co-developed by Microsoft and Galois. Galois' only two investors are DARPA and the Office of Naval Research, so rly its sole investor is the Pentagon. Galois' chief scientist and founder used to be head of a DARPA office. Main clients? The govt and weaponsmakers

ElectionGuard's "partners" include the Center for Democracy and Technology, whose board of advisors include reps from the Charles Koch Institute, the American Enterprise Institute (the super neocon think tank), RAND corp, among others. Its president is a DHS and Amazon alum

Another ElectionGuard partner is the OSET institute, co-founded by a former DARPA contractor, board of advisors includes ppl from American Enterprise Institute, NSA, DHS, DARPA and Oregon state govt.

of course, Microsoft itself is a major contractor to the DOD and US intelligence and has known history of helping the NSA break its own encryption on its software and building backdoors into their operating sys. Microsoft offers EG for "free" despite long history of price gouging

Per Microsoft, ElectionGuard is "secure" because it uses encryption but type of encryption used is malleable, meaning the info (i.e. vote totals) can be altered without decrypting it. Also, its "vote tracking" prgm doesn't let you check the content of ur vote until after election

Microsoft also has deep ties to Israeli military intelligence, particularly the IDF's Unit 8200. Ex. Microsoft heavily invested in Team8, co-founded by frmr head of Unit 8200. Team8 hired frmr NSA dir Mike Rogers last year. So much for protecting us from "foreign meddling," eh?
