Une super idée pour les spéléologues : faire un système GPS sous terre. Pas encore sûr de comment mettre des satellites là en bas mais j'y réfléchis.

A marathon is more of a unit than a distance. We should start defining the marathon distance as 1 marathon since it doesn't make any sense in any other system: 42.195 km, 26.219 miles, 26 miles 385 yards. (Fun alternative: marathon percents. 100% marathon. 23.7% marathon = 10k.)

I put Windows 95 into an Electron app that now runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It's a terrible idea that works shockingly well. I'm so sorry. Go grab it here:

I think about this screen a lot. It's remarkable Apple includes it in the setup process for Macs. Notice: 1. It speaks explicitly about *fundamental human rights*. 2. It's presented as one of the first experiences when engaging with a new product. 3. It provides clear context.

Half-way through a Phoenix app migration to GraphQL from REST and I'm still surprised how much code we got to delete. Multiple custom REST endpoints that simply we don't need to have, services that are obsolete. This feels good.

it's fantastic working with people who understand many paradigms - OOP, FP, DDD, static/dynamic typing, AOP, Event-driven - even if none of that ends in the codebase, the ability to discuss certain problems using different abstractions is very valuable to me.

It doesn’t “slow things down”. It halts progress completely: the ecosystem converges to support the lowest common denominator clients, permanently.
