What worries me more than anything is how this will give every conspiracy theorist an incident to point to where a conspiracy was proven right, irrespective of how absurd their particular conspiracy is.
It's similar to how a young wave of CEOs years back copied the social behavioural patterns of Jobs of being too aggressive as opposed to the thing which probably actually made him successful - his insights and bullishness on incredible products.
The biggest mistake people make emulating Elon Musk to run their teams is that they copy his public actions and just make bold changes to feel equally big, without applying the strategy which probably actually makes him successful, the first principles thinking.
So much management time is sucked into managing low performers, cynics, and egos.
Been thinking a lot about optimizing for the “easy to run” team.
What’s that for me?
"You’ve got to start with the customer experience and work back to the technology — not the other way around. I’ve probably made this mistake more than anybody, and I’ve got the scar tissue to prove it."
-Steve Jobs
The Bella Hadid spray-on dress is a liquid fibre — bound together with polymers — that evaporates when it hits a surface (like human skin).
It feels like suede when after drying and can be manipulated into different shapes. Insane.
Text-to-video is in an incredible race now with Dall-e, stable diffusion, and now make-a-video. These are the cutest generated videos I've seen so far!
Yes, it’s here :) Zero-shot text-to-video generation!
Introducing Make-A-Video.
The new SOTA, by a large margin, in text-to-video generation. And it doesn’t use any paired text-video data!

When some senior leaders join a team, they think that the previous leaders & team must be idiots because “Look at all the problems here”, often not realizing that it took extraordinary effort & insight to even get to the stage where it became necessary to hire said senior leader.
Mistakes become very hard to fix once they're embodied in jobs. The people whose jobs they are become highly motivated advocates for the continuance of the mistake.
This has been one of the most important learnings of my adult work life. When there are no external motivating factors like deadlines, the only thing that helps to get motivated is getting started and making progress.
Many people procrastinate because they're waiting for their motivation to rise.
They forget that getting started is what leads their motivation to rise.
Passion is not a prerequisite for progress. It's often the result of progress.

Working when you’re sick is not a symbol of commitment. It’s a symptom of a sick culture.
In toxic workplaces, rest is a sign of weakness. You're expected to sacrifice yourself for your job.
In healthy cultures, rest is a source of strength. Wellness is vital to doing your job.
will be speaking on 'Hyper Personalization & the Possibilities' at the latest edition of Brew by Group M. Stay tuned for a fresh wave of thoughts and learnings coming from the country's top professionals and leaders.

The goal of a great discussion isn't to land on the same page. It’s to explore different views.
Nods and smiles stroke your ego and close your mind. Thoughtful questions stoke your curiosity and stretch your thinking.
Consensus makes you comfortable. Dissent makes you smarter.
"Relationship is work" and
- swiping = candidate screening
- seeing = intros
- dating = interviewing
- relationship = internship*
- marriage = full-time job (full-time in a true sense
Except in arrange marriages which skip internship and hence need panel interviews to be sure.
Indians seeing this be like "this is exactly why I can't stay fit" here.
When someone gives you readymade excuses for not working out and eating junk, you like and retweet. Thanks
I lived in India for a year and it is SO MUCH HARDER to be fit–
- Gyms are expensive / inaccessible
- Harder to walk / run on streets + lower quality air
- Difficult to find healthy food
- Few social options without food+drinks
Most high-income Indians aren't very fit.
