The Linux kernel community's change from the Code of Conflict to a standard Code of Conduct was only acked by 6 out of 10 members of the Linux Foundation Technical advisory board:https://www.linuxfoundation.org/about/technical-advisory-board/ …

Do you think an independent group outside of the power and influence of LF's 501(c)(6) would be able to have a more positive impact, or would it be no different?

I think that the Linux kernel community might not trust anyone outside their inner circle. When your inner circle is toxic, you just keep perpetuating toxicity.

If you can't build a CoC openly and inclusively you can't build an open and inclusive community

Hastily Pushed Through. Not Well Thought-Out. ...I am Jack's Complete Lack of Surprise. The Conflict Code is and shall always be far superior. This garbage has no place in a technical setting. I know how this works though, CoC's enforcement will be selective in all ways.

I'm pushing for non-technical people like you to stop meddling with matters they don't understand.

In code industry, the code is all, your CoC is just trash for the code speaks for itself, It is suicidal to sacrifice quality in the name of diversity and you know it!!
