Much easier to take an #instrument with you by train

I know it's easier to sell products that run on electricity, because they fall more easily into the "gadget" category. But isn't the neverending task of charging stuff a real downside to the consumer and planet? Why doesn't it put put us off? #charging #design

Is design + electricity more equal than design without?

In our wondrous modern age, I get the feeling people think #innovation only comes with a circuit board, a battery or an app attached. If you can #design it so it works just as well without electricity, or any fuel, you should Discuss.

If my flight isn't cancelled due to lack of demand, I'll be heading to China to build my new designs. If it's cancelled, I'll have to get there another way. And I'll tell you what it's like... if I get there.

As a regular flyer, I often think: "even if I don't book this flight, it'll fly so what difference can I make in terms of the #environment?" This just shows us we can ground entire routes just by writing news stories that the flu kills many people in a country on earth.

My airline has a lot of business travellers, fewer tourists and has a strong presence in Europe-China travel. So I'm hoping it will be able to fill a flight to #China when I need to #work there.

Flights to and from #Wuhan have been stopped for health reasons. Flight routes to other Chinese cities are being cancelled due to lack of #demand by travellers, not to prevent spread of the disease. Though that is an effect too. No one's booking flights because they are scared.

I'm going to look pretty stupid when I'm found to have died of the #Coronavirus, but here are a few thoughts on the next couple of months as someone who regularly works in #China.
