Have you heard that pirated movies are the one that make more money? Money isnt't in selling objects, but in notoriety.

Cash is more valuable than notoriety. Information has to be produced by people, and people have to eat.

If information is the important thing, then it has a value and we should be prepared to pay for it. It won't just spontaneously appear.

I use open source software, which people create for free. But the most successful projects get funding. The others eventually wither.

Reason Linus Torvalds didn't starve is because he was employed by OSDL, now the Linux Foundation, which supports Linux & other software.
