    Also from the story, new emails obtained from public records requests showing Clearview telling police officers to "run wild" with their searches and to "try your friends or family" with the tool.

    NEW: Clearview AI told police to “run wild” with the software and test it on friends and family. The company has been recently touting its code of conduct for police, but in emails obtained via FOIL, it appears to have contradicted itself several times:

    On the podcast Scalzo claimed "over a thousand independent law enforcement agencies" are using Clearview. Last week Clearview stated the number was 600. As we reported last week, there are questions about where this number comes from.
