"I-" he sighed. "Okay." "Okay?" "Do you want me to refuse?" Taehyung scowled ready to walk back inside. "No wait." Jungkook laughed. "Thanks." Taehyung just nodded and walked back inside, a soft smile gracing his face, unaware of a happy Jungkook.
Taehyung sighed looking down on his phone at the conversation that just took place. He was trying to be friends but it was really hard for him to be open like he usually was. Especially after what happened.
He noticed Jungkook was not replying anymore so he threw the phone somewhere on his bed and laid down, eyes grazing along the empty ceiling. Jimin must be enjoying his date. He smiled at the thought. Jimin deserved it anyway. For someone to love him, in this case, two.
Suddenly Taehyung felt chills run down his spine. Call it his intuition or just coincidence but he really felt something was wrong. He sat up straight on his bed and looked around the empty bedroom before walking outside to the living room and standing in the middle of it.
He was not sure why but something seemed off. He checked the doors to see if it was locked and even the windows too. When he was about to close the curtains to one of the windows that overlooked the driveway, he saw someone standing there.
Taehyung froze, his eyes wide and heartbeat increasing with every passing second. He recognised the person. It was Seo. His ex boyfriend.
Now the thing with Seo was, he was sweet. Very sweet to Taehyung. Being there for him, spoiling him and making him fall in love more and more. It was scary for Taehyung to fall in love with someone so quickly specially after what had happened. They had been friends before that -
But maybe his vulnerability and his need for attention made it into something more. And Taehyung regretted it. Seo was sweet but he was also very possessive. It was a miracle that he didn't text or call Taehyung yet after their break up but now, him showing up infront of his-
-house was terrifying. When he got possessive, he usually got violent. Taehyung didn't understand how he didn't leave him when he was the victim to his abuse so many times. Maybe he was blinded by the pretentious love.
Taehyung suddenly came back to his senses and closed the curtains shut before running towards his bedroom and locking the door in the process. He got hold of his phone and quickly decided to call Jimin but his calls directly went to voicemail.
He was shaking. He was alone with his abusive ex boyfriend right outside his house and he didn't know what to do. Jimin was not picking his calls which made him more paranoid about the whole situation.
Suddenly a text popped up on his screen and Taehyung let out a shaky breath before opening it.
Jungkook was still utterly confused when he arrived at the location Taehyung sent him. The streets were dark and eerily silent making him think that something is definitely wrong. He stepped out of his car and looked around the place.
There was no one except a guy in a baseball cap who was walking towards his direction, head bent down. Jungkook just kept an eye on him because he looked suspicious enough. The guy walked passed him, bumping his shoulders with Jungkook and was soon gone after a soft sorry.
Creasing his eyebrows at the rude stranger, Jungkook crossed the road, towards the house shown in the location and rang the doorbell as he waited for Taehyung to open the door. He had to wait for a while until the door softly clicked open and Taehyung peeped through-
-the small opening, immediately opening the door wide at the sight of a familiar face. Jungkook notices that Taehyung looked pretty shaken up. His shoulders and hands were still visibly shaking and his eyes looked red around the corners.
"Have you been crying?" Jungkook asked, walking inside the house and closing the door in the process. Taehyung rubbed his arm in exhaustion and shook his head. "Do you want to drink anything?" He instead opted to ask, making Jungkook sigh, hands on his hips and eyes on Taehyung
"What was the text about?" Jungkook directly asked, wanting to get straight to the point. Taehyung knew he had to explain. Atleast some parts of it. It was unfair that he called Jungkook all the way here only to keep him in the dark.
