12 years ago, Twitter’s office used a Mac Mini to tunnel into the servers. One day, an IT guy found it in the closet. “Anyone know who owns this?” “Unplug it. Someone will show up.” Everyone lost access to servers. Huge crisis. It became known as the “Load Bearing Mac Mini.”

Got content playing and need to hide the iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island for a screenshot or something? At least as of iOS 16.1 beta 5, swiping in from the sides or pinching around the island will collapse it. Doing the same gesture in reverse brings it back.

It finally happened. After over 10 years of using TextMate, which was one of the main reasons why I moved from Windows to Mac, I’ve switched to ’s Nova as my go-to text editor when I’m not in Xcode. I did have to alias the “mate” command to “nova” (muscle memory)
Screenshot of TextMate with the line “alias mate equals nova”
