A stranger DMed to tell me that they saw footage of me on news today from NYPD SVU hearing. They said that they were attacked a few weeks ago, that they feel let down by loved ones and that seeing this gave them hope. This message is what I'm thankful for this week.

Between five to six months ago I got into a relationship again for the first time in four years and it feels so good to have that kind of support in my life. 🥹 He tells me that he is happy to be with me everyday.
Ten years ago, I spent my Christmas in a psychiatric ward, disorientated, restless, angry and just wanting time to pass to a time when I could be semi-content again. Feel grateful that I am content and happy this holiday season and hopeful that there has been societal progress:
