    Yep, as of today Russia is officially a fascist state. Charging tens of dissidents with a crime that wasn't a crime at the time of their "perpetration", and incriminating regular political activity as "subversion of the foundations of the state" pretty much checks all the boxes.

    Spot on. Words like "woke" and "neoliberal" *can* have specific meanings. But most of the time, they're simply all-purpose insults for "an evil ideology I can't be bothered to define". They operate as substitutes for thought and argument, rather than as contributions to it.

    I like how woke has lost any meaning other than “I don’t like it”. The functional equivalent of “neoliberal” but for the right.

    Auf die Frage, ob es klug war, den Berlin-Marathon auf Tag der Bundes- und Landtagswahl zu legen, sagt , dass die Bundesregierung eine Verschiebung der auf eine Woche vorher nicht wollte. Alternative wäre Absage des Marathons gewesen.
