  2. Well the government doesn't want to call it the TISM freeway, but the people may have already decided. The government didn't call the convention centre "Jeff's Shed" either.

Let's hope that Labor's scheme is somehow radically different and won't actually be what the Greens proposed, because it was a shocker. 4/4

That's right, it's a huge new tax on the elderly, disabled, tourists, regional Victorians and people who are already doing the right thing with recycling. Does that sound progressive to anyone? 3/4

People who can't/won't return containers: - Elderly and disabled with limited mobility - Regional people for whom it's not economic to travel to return the containers. - Tourists who don't know about the system. - People who continue to use the yellow bin. 2/4

Renewables aren’t expensive. What’s expensive is the gas that covers for them when they’re not working. Translation: “load shedding” = “electricity bread line” 🥖 Victoria is preparing to ration electricity like a 3rd world country.

"Demand management" is just another way of getting us used to the 21st century bread line of energy austerity powered by random megawatts. Or would we rather a high energy, low carbon future powered by ?

Very happy to hear that the Victorian government agrees with my call to cut payroll tax for fire affected areas. This will help recovery efforts.

Many complain that Australia only accounts for a small % of carbon emissions therefore action to curb them is just signalling. Well... that’s mostly true. Why not signal in a way that actually shifts global thinking? “Australia repeals nuclear prohibition!”

In December, although my motion to provide greater scrutiny of in Victoria was supported by 9/10 on the cross bench, it was not supported by the major parties. I spoke at the High Alert campaign launch, which intends to monitor these operations.

Just checked Ontario vs Victoria’s electricity production again. Although Ontario’s carbon emissions are the highest they’ve been in the last 24 hours, still Victoria is over 10x higher. Doesn’t take a genius to see why.
