Honestly, I think if Reason docs focused on creating a lot of translations to common Javascript patterns, the onboarding experience would be 100x better. I mostly got by through github issues and trying to write Javascript in reason rather than learn reason

Pattern matching and variants are crazy. It's a whole different world when using them. I'm having trouble discovering an intuition for them. It also feels like interop with is makes it difficult to take advantage of ocaml stuff

The interop with Javascript is surprisingly good. The downside is that it feels like you need to ignore reason and use escape hatches when you're getting started to be productive at any level. (basically equivalent to using the any type in TS and plastering it everywhere)

Documenting some thoughts on Reason after creating a very simple group document editor with it. The docs hold it back the most. I think there needs more Javascript to Reason examples, with some recipes on common js patterns and how to convert it to Reason
