Star Trek: First Contact talks about nuclear world war, and then the same technology being used to connect mankind to the stars, causing civilization to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.

I've read that if the entire world deployed nuclear on a large scale, we'd actually run out of U-235 fairly quickly, and we'd have to switch to a reprocessing fuel cycle.

probably not a lot, just because most science fiction skews towards dystopia like steampunk worlds are harsh and violent and zeppelins! but not fun places to live. Fallout is probably the best you could find
