They are not milk. They are drinks mostly water chemicals blended oats or almonds shipped thousands of miles. Dairy is high in nutrition from local farm or nearby. So don't accept its better for environment. Going back to full fat dairy is best thing I have done for health

1. Yes air miles will come in to it hence I don't buy almond and I do buy British oat milk. 2. Just because it's local doesn't mean it's environmentally friendly. Look at the graph: emissions, water- and land-use are big factors. 3. Cow's milk is linked to reproductive cancers.

Dairy milk tastes the best by far as a ‘glass of milk’ and in every aspect. I have one life, I think it’s fair to do whatever makes you most happy.
-
Is it really "fair" if that choice involves calves being shot dead at a day old, cows being impregnated time and time again and the huge negative effects on the environment? Right, nice guy

I'd just like to say how almond milk is terrible for the environment. According to some article, almond is grown in huge fields, with pesticides to increase yield, and that is killing bees. That is bad, no?
-
It's certainly not great and for that reason I don't consume it personally! Plus I'm in the UK so the air miles are too big for me. A great alternative which can be grown in the UK are hazelnuts! And they do t require the bees

Surely there's alot of wastage and unused materials when squeezing milk from nuts and rice? I'll stick to the natural stuff
-
Why can't you use it? I sometimes make homemade oat milk. With the pulp I make cookies. So I get two products out of the usual one.

It's time to start off the month where we can show people why switching from cow's milk to a plant-based milk is far greater for the environment, better for animals and of course, better for our health!
