The album is available on Spotify (search Hawthonn) or, for those of us who appreciate the conservation of archaic features, as a limited edition LP pressed on red vinyl. It's quite dark, as you might have guessed, and it includes some spine chilling corvid sounds.

The album cover explanation for track IV is: 'rationality fails and witches hold sway.' The original kangling players were Tantric witches (dakinis).
@Meaningness talks about them in his podcast with@SecularBuddhist here: http://secularbuddhism.org/2011/10/29/episode-88-david-chapman-buddhism-for-vampires/ …pic.twitter.com/0gMy7KvCsL

It is true that witches can happen when rationality fails. For more on that, and how to make your own kangling, see:https://buddhism-for-vampires.com/kangling-chod

It's not always easy to travel with a human thigh-bone in your baggage, so I keep one for chöd practice in different countries.pic.twitter.com/Kdg60p0zJp

We also have an amusing story about our own misadventure in kangling-making, which I'll send by email! Hope you enjoyed the album, and thank you again. This has started to make me think about where I first encountered chöd: possibly via chaos magician Tzimon Yliaster in the 90s!

I look forward to hearing about that!

That could be a big problem if you are housesitting for someone with a dog.
