@garybasin This is my trusty backpack. I have had it for about 16 years. It is no longer waterproof since the lining got eaten by moths. But I love it and am loathe to part with it. I have not found one I like so much.pic.twitter.com/cAz0FDond4

I am supposed to be learning Python, but looking at backpack details is much more appealing :-)
Python, schmython :p Thanks for thoughts. For this bag, I'm kind of looking to stretch the capbilities. I need to replace my everyday commute bag... buuut at the same time, I want to use it for day hiking, especially some upcoming ones in US.
You're right. Going down the backpack-porn rabbithole is dangerous... :p If you have any other suggestions, I'm more than happy to look! Something ~25L I'm hoping for.
Can’t recommend any from personal trial as I am still clinging on to my old Berghaus hoping it will last forever. This looks good if you are happy with the water solution. What US trails do you plan on hiking?
Sidenote: I was reading these pieces as they were in my backlog & I'm climbing mountains soon. Making a trip across the globe for: - Olympic National Park - Glacier National Park - Yellow Stone National Park - Grand Tetons - A bunch in Colorado (maybe Longs Peak?!) - North on NY
Wow, lots! You’ll be in US over most of the summer?
Yep, a mate and I have really packed it out!
