Yes, the Tasmania one. Which is your home town? (Tasmania is one of my favorite places on earth…)

Ohhh, amazing! if you ever go back please let me know! I'll be back down there in 2 weeks and go back 3-5x/year. I was born and lived there for 23 years. I grew up just south of Hobart, but have seen lots of the state, of course. I really want to explore the South West, though

I used to spend every winter in the southern hemisphere. No longer practical, but I hope to get back there in not too many years. Tasmania’s SW is… hair-raising I gather. I’ve been to the bits accessible by road, but not done serious exploration. Anyway, monotremes FTW!

Oh, well, keep in touch if you ever do! :) Yes, the SW is... off the path, and not sure it's explorable. Really. There's a great day hike at Hartz Peak which is basically ... 'the end of habitiable land' (dark green until the edge!) https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Hartz+Peak+Track,+Southwest+TAS+7139/@-43.2729874,146.0793903,9z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0xaa6e9eb817b58acd:0x8b4c867f36c6c594!8m2!3d-43.230751!4d146.7722799?dcr=0 …pic.twitter.com/4Lvuj1RxNd

So cute! :)
@_awbery_ and I did the Hartz Mountain hike two years ago :) Next time we’re in Australia, if that happens, we’ll probably be more public about it1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Given, I'm in tassie so often -- was looking at some of the hikes I haven't done. Didn't know this site existed. 93 trails according to it. I'll endeavour to do almost ALL of the ones that aren't overnighters. http://tastrails.com

And re: the aforementioned southwest ... here's the beast. 7 days (85km) basically no trails and the starting point only accessible via airplane...
pretty much, there's NOTHING else in the south west to [formally] trek.

This trail looks appealing. We didn’t overnight trek in Tas partly because it would’ve required buying all the necessary gear once off and then leaving it. I would love to go again. There’s lots we didn’t see yet, especially on the West side.
