I am seeing a number of scholars making the argument that Pure Land was not a Sect, all Chinese schools embraced it to some extent

That’s interesting. I visited a Pure Land monastery in Tsuen Wan. I will post some pics. There was aTantric inspired freeze.

All of the police stations and emergency places in this area have a shrine to Guan Yu. He is called “Little brother” here…

I am not sure he always does here. I don’t know. I thought this was Guan Yu because of the beard and the guan dao.

If there is another one on the other door it is the door guardians. There are a few Guan Yu like figures that I have seen
