(Soliciting feedback rather than making an offer just yet but) would any of you be interested if I were to do some coaching/workshops about writing, with a specific focus on how to write more and in ways that are useful to you rather than some abstract notion of quality?

Yes, possibly. I have a private/public boundary that’s difficult to overcome. (I write copiously privately, almost nothing publicly.) I’m not sure how much I do want to write publicly but might be interested to explore.

My main goals in doing this are actually to get people to the "write copiously privately" stage, so I might not be of much help, but if I go ahead with this plan it'd still be interesting to talk about what's blocking you from public writing.

Thanks. I have a feeling that ‘write copiously publicly’ would not prove difficult, if I decided to do that. Hence my tentative reply (I might be wrong). And I’m not entirely sure why I don’t, though multiple plausible reasons present themselves as candidates.

Are there any cheap experiments you could run to test out which candidates are true? (Also I wish to point out that all writing counts and thus you are currently writing public, albeit under a pseudonym)

This is funny, your tweet just made me realize that I don’t regard any of my names as ‘real names’ - and therefore none of them are pseudonyms!
