I’m not a skeptic of hiking poles like I am of hiking boots but I’m curious if any pre-industrial people use(d) them

scree is the one place my minimal shoes slip but I haven’t had a hiking boot in decades so can’t remember if they’re better

I remember the grip being good. Slipping is the main problem I have with minimals too. I’ve done very little barefoot without minimals. I wonder if feet are less slippy on scree?
