I severed a tendon in my foot making a smoothie a few years ago. 22 stitches required. The kitchen was like a scene from Fargo.

Completely severed my index knuckle tendon on a tuna can 5 years ago. Saw bone, left it, cleaned blood & made my own splint. 3 days later, pain too much — infected to point of near amputation, plastic surgery, 3 days in hospital & 12 weeks in a “professional splint. Kitchen wars!

Phew, that was close! I wasn’t sure at the time whether to go to hospital. Almost didn’t, but glad I did hearing this. Had to wear a boot splint on it for a while.
