As an ethnographer, I don’t pre-suppose what’s important/ good. I listen. In the Zambian Copperbelt, many people say “women can do what men can do” (translated) This reflects their observations. I focused on this, their idea of equality, & what’s caused this social change.https://twitter.com/lumiferrous/status/1197246653167816707 …
And because I comparative analysis, that paper also examines why some aspects of gender relations have NOT changed.
So it discusses why there’s growing support for women performing “men’s work”, but very little support for men sharing care work.
