    ACM distributes papers over . This site's HTTPS config is broken, forcing people to download pdfs over HTTP. So much for the "value" that publishers add. You know what defaults to properly-configured HTTPS? Sci-Hub.

    Academic conferences should offer free (or at least heavily reduced) registration for reviewers. The value of a reviewer's work—numerous hours worth of reading plus nuanced technical feedback—easily outweighs conference registration. What do you think, ?

    Irritated by privacy research groups (or anyone, really) using Google Fonts on their web sites. This allows Google to learn about every visitor to these sites. If you need fancy fonts, host them yourselves.
