    It's difficult to argue with this.

    In the General Election it was, according to the PM ‘oven ready’ - now, when they want to jettison it in breach of international law, it was ‘signed in a rush’. What a bunch of incompetent and unscrupulous chancers - and they are trashing the UK’s international reputation

    I wouldn't stay overnight in a place that had books by the likes of Susan Sontag or James Baldwin on the shelves either. You just wouldn't feel safe, would you? 😜

    We just drove three hours my 8-year-old brother for a getaway and the house we arrived at ended up having seemingly satanic items and stuff for witchcraft rituals. We had to leave because my brother (and the rest of us) were frightened. But won’t refund me. (THREAD)

    Leaving white people alone to talk about racism is a really terrible idea and also describes most of the history of the Episcopal Church.

    At least one university is offering segregated zooms for white people and people of color to meet each other, in the name of social justice. It's in vogue to have a separate "safe space" for POC, but this is the first time that I'm seeing separate white spaces.

    More likely a solicitor. Barristers don’t do much advising. They have a very specific function. I could only think about a barrister saying you can’t fiddle with evidence or nobble the jury.

    everyone keeps asking how we can reproduce things we're 'losing' by shifting to remote, digital teaching, but for every person who just wants to be in person, there's another who is going to have the best term of their life without the anxiety of travel and in-person classes.
