It needs to be made explicit that the password manager should then be used to create random and unique passwords. the problem is that the Internet is full of mutually incompatible password policies, making automatic random generation somewhat difficult

By the way, you can easily extract the chrome passwords. sqlite3 -header -csv -separator "," ~/.config/chromium/Default/Login\ Data "SELECT * FROM logins" > ~/Passwords.csv So, the chrome password manager is definitely not safe.
