EC2 would be much cheaper, since S3 charges per request.

Running DNS on EC2 would also eliminate the Route 53 per-request costs.

I'm moving the front-end entirely to CloudFront, the *.neverssl.com already is, and going to be doing gzip there. Minification is cool, but not if degrades source readability, I'll check what diff it makes on its own.

AWS/GCP have always price gouged for egress traffic. Ironically if you get an AWS Lightsail instance you get 1TB traffic for $5/month (the same 1TB would cost close to $100/month on EC2)
