one thing I've found is that in the moment, if it's already inflamed, stretching can exacerbate and extend the pain! Leaving it alone, putting it in a brace and waiting for pain/numbness to subside before exercising it can be a HUGE help

I've had ulnar nerve issues in the past, but I got my first big flareup of (potential) carpal stuff earlier this year—I was diligently stretching on the hour, being like "why does this SUCK EVEN MORE," and then I looked it up and was like... OH. Take a break.

This is good to know! I have a brace on the way in the mail- I’ve been feeling like some of the stretches have been making it worse, so this is interesting info

I've also had bad cubital tunnel / ulnar nerve stuff! The stretches are good, and it realllly helped when I started sleeping with my affected arm in a brace. It's not comfortable and you don't have to do it forever but it helps keep you from bending it all night

ditto! I slept in my brace and it was occasionally gross, but it worked wonders

i went through 3 braces for the year+ i had bad joint injuries/golfer's elbow! they don't make it easy to wash them, HUH
