Did you ever have trouble finding clients who are willing to pay hourly instead of flat rate? My job inquiries tend to be flat rate which is how I end up making pennies :/

I currently have a client who pays me a flat rate for work, so I take that number, divide it up by my hourly rate, & only spend that many hours on it. If the work is too much to match your hourly rate, they are not paying enough. Helps me with my work/life balance!

That sounds like a good rule of thumb. I keep finding myself caught between turning in rushed work and getting paid $10 an hour hopefully soon I can be pickier about clients haha
