today marks 2 months since i started swimming every other morning. i started out barely able to get 100 yards without winding myself. I'm at 700 with short <15 second breaks at 300 and 500 and i'm feelin' like some sorta stronk aquaman.
bonus: it's also helped my backpic.twitter.com/MErM8dpsp5

my chiropractor recommended it and i'm passing that recommendation on to you, fellow desk sitters who have messed up their whole back situation. i feel so great after every swim and i'm pinching nerves significantly less than i was.

i also gotta say, mentally it's doing wonders to see gains quickly. art gains feel so slow sometimes it's hard to notice them and often i can feel like i'm sliding backwards. to have a thing to look forward to where i can feel myself improving is helping the ol' brain feelings.

i hit 1000 yards today!
i definitely had to take some breaks, but that's okay, i'll work on endurance and pacing myself in the next few weeks but i did it! i hit my goal! next will be 1500 but i'm gonna stay here for a bit and feel good about hitting this

Go for the 1650 meters--one mile! Its the longest individual event for swimmers

aiming for that eventually! right now i'm just inching my way up. i stayed at 700 for a while just working on breathing, then today felt good enough to go those extra laps!

Love it! Swimming is the only sport where you get told you're breathing too much
