On the eve of PAX, seeing vitriol against indie devs announcing on the Epic Store breaks my heart. So many of these games would not make it to ship if it wasn't for Epic. They are feeding much needed resources back into the wierd, wonderful, underfunded & overworked indie scene

Me neither! Seeing responses to excited announcements get flooded with "see you when the 12 month exclusivity is up" makes me so sad

You do realise that epic has guaranteed x amount of sales for the developers? They arent goint to left without pay. Let people have the freedom to choose. Theres several reasons why EGS is not liked, biggest being that they pay money for not to allow releasing on other stores.

I think another key point is that they still don't have a shopping cart for their storefront and if you try to buy too many games too quickly as separate transactions (cuz you're forced to), your account gets suspended for potential fraud
