It's seriously insane how much people are against it! I don't understand :(
On the eve of PAX, seeing vitriol against indie devs announcing on the Epic Store breaks my heart. So many of these games would not make it to ship if it wasn't for Epic. They are feeding much needed resources back into the wierd, wonderful, underfunded & overworked indie scene

Me neither! Seeing responses to excited announcements get flooded with "see you when the 12 month exclusivity is up" makes me so sad

Also, am I wrong, or is it really that hard to just buy/dL on The Epic store? I don’t understand the “outrage...”

In some aspects, yes it has been difficult. There's no shopping cart still, and if you buy games too quickly you get suspended for fraud. There had numerous preloading issues, special edition copies of games have seen numerous issues from users trying to download dlc for Exodus

I can't blame an indie dev for taking up an offer with Epic. It's practically free money and guarantee that they still X amount of copies. I take issue with the devs that aren't honest or have come off seemingly snobby about it. Else, the storefront is pretty garbo on EGS
