I'm of the conspiracy theory camp that says the actual movie is done with a completely stylized Sonic and this trailer was only cut together to elicit a viral response. How else are the animators supposed to redesign & implement an entirely new character before November?
Tbh even if that trailer was their entire marketing budget it would still be incredibly successful
