I've had the same Intuous 3 tablet since 2003 and it hasn't worked well since like 2012. Is making the jump to an actual screen tablet worth the investment for someone who DOESN'T draw daily?

Intuous tablets are way cheaper now than they were in the early 00's so it might make more sense for you to replace what you've got. However, I've found that I'm faster on a Cintiq, like using is as a 2nd screen, and my posture is better when I use it

If it comes down to $$$, you might be able to find one of the discontinued Cintiq 21UX's for cheaper on ebay or Amazon marketplace? The 24HD & 27HQ's from Wacom are much more expensive than the 21UX's: https://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Cintiq-DTK-2100-21-inch-Display/dp/B0038PQCQK …

Oh that's pretty good! Does Wacom still service the older models if something goes wrong?

I'm not actually sure about that, but I have an ooold 21UX that I've shipped to like 5 different states across 6 years and it's held up super well
