Because too many people over crowd their burgers with nonsense ingredients when all you need is meat, cheese, and bread. And bacon.

Not iceberg but arugula or some spinach now that's what I like. Personally I think some cooked bell pepper is good on a burger.

Are you crazy? Arugula wilts in 2 seconds on a burger. Iceberg or romaine actually stands up to heat & provides texture & contrast. The only burger arugular and bell pepper is good on is a lamb kofte burger & then it becomes debatable whether it's even a burger at all.
