    How can I keep those Tangents and Binormals unified at the bottom where the UV Seams is? And why on earth doesn't 3DS have a script or tool for this...

    Alright seriously why does the FBX format use UV's to calculate vertex Tangents and not smoothing groups?! WHY?!

    Note: This is actually a flat "Ring" mesh that's being stretched along it's vertex normals with WPO in the shader.

    Anybody know if there's a 3DS Max Tool that can average Mesh Tangents accross UV Seams? I'm currently having to derive them from a second set of UV's because the actual mesh tangents are separated at UV Seams, even though the verts are welded.

    There's always something kind of magical seeing big AAA games in an editor environment. I remember opening the UT and Gears levels for the first time years ago after pouring years of time into them, and suddenly I could see how everything was put together. A fun perspective!

    Always check your code before posting an *extremely* detailed post on UDN (with graphs and everything) about how you think something very fundamental to the engine isn't working correctly. At least I've halved the network cost of my projectile system... silver lining.
