    Started with a couple of calls which led to a trip to New York and now this. Absolutely thrilled to work with and the group of fellows we have put together.

    ~ Some news! ~ I'm thrilled to announce the Write of Passage Fellows. After receiving interest from more than 500 people, we selected a small group of stellar candidates. Every fellow will write a ~15,000-word essay in 2020.

    If you're working for a startup, remember that big company rules don't apply It's better to leave after a few months than stick it out and be miserable for a year It's perfectly fine to jump from early stage to later stage if you need a little more structure and stability

    Great read! I'd add that having an audience also gives you better access to talent. Ever since I started writing, a number of my hiring conversations have started with "I enjoy reading your blog/newsletter."

    Amazing essay. Living in cities is the equivalent of taking the three point shot in basketball. The economic advantage of living in a city is just so much higher.
